Maclane is an ASE Master Certified Technician with 15 years of automotive repair experience. A Berks County PA native, he graduated from Wilson High School in West Lawn, PA and completed an automotive technology program at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Exton, PA. His career started at Croft’s Service Center in West Lawn and he worked for Garnet Volkswagen in Chadds Ford, PA for 9 years, where he achieved Volkswagen Master Technician Certification and competed in multiple national VW competitions. He opened the first Maclane’s Auto location in 2016 and prides himself on honest, high-quality automotive workmanship—on all makes and models—that customers can trust. He loves having his own auto repair shop so he can communicate directly with customers, understand their car’s needs and client’s concerns, and work to find the best solution for them.

Maclane is a part of the Downingtown chapter of Professional Referral Exchange (PRE), and loves supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. Please feel free to stop by with business cards, artwork, coupons, etc. to post in the shop, and be sure to ask him “how the weather is up there” if you see him driving around Downingtown in his lifted Ford F350.

For fun, Maclane likes to brew beer at home and play the trumpet. He is a member of the Berks Hombrew club and won the 2016 homebrew bracket competition. Additionally, he traveled the country playing with the Cadets in 2009 and is a Reading Buccaneers (go Bucs!) alum. Maclane is excited to be a part of the Downingtown community and, like Andy’s Auto did for over 30 years, provide the community with superior service and trustworthy auto repairs.
