Maclane’s Automotive Opens Third Location in Malvern, Marking 10 Years of Growth and Expansion in Chester County
Malvern, PA – April 27, 2026 –Maclane’s Automotive, a fast-growing, independently owned auto repair company based in Chester County, has officially opened its third location in Malvern, Pennsylvania, marking a major milestone in the company’s 10-year journey from a single three-bay shop to a multi-location operation.
The Malvern facility, formerly ASM Auto, was acquired in December 2025 and soft-opened under the Maclane’s Automotive name on March 2, 2026. A grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry will take place on May 1, followed by a 10-year anniversary open house celebration. Founded in 2016 by Maclane Reeser, the company began as a small shop in Downingtown and quickly built a reputation for high-quality service and strong customer relationships. As demand grew, the business expanded into a second Downingtown location on Horseshoe Pike in 2020. This expansion allowed the team to increase capacity, bring more services in-house, and better serve a growing customer base.
“I’ve always believed that if you’re not growing, you’re dying,” Reeser said in a 2024 “Shop Owner” magazine industry profile, reflecting the mindset that continues to guide the company’s expansion.
In late 2024, Maclane’s Automotive completed another major milestone by relocating its original Downingtown shop to a much larger facility on Lincoln Highway, formerly a Mr. Tire location. The property underwent a full renovation into an eight-bay, modern service center. The project was led hands-on by Reeser alongside his partner, Nicole Mieloch, who joined the business during the renovation and now serves as Business Manager. The new facility officially opened in spring 2025.
Building on that momentum, Maclane’s Automotive expanded into Malvern through the acquisition of ASM Auto in December 2025, extending its service footprint within Chester County. “Malvern was a natural next step for us,” says Reeser. “It allows us to expand our customer base without getting too far from our core market.”
“ASM Auto earned trust the right way, and we’re excited to build on that in Malvern,” he adds. “We bring honest service, high workmanship standards, and real care for our clients – plus warm chocolate chip cookies.”
In a press release about the acquisition, ASM Auto founder Ausmus Marburger expressed strong confidence in the transition, noting that Reeser shares the same values that built the shop’s reputation for quality and customer service.
The Malvern location has now been renovated and rebranded under the Maclane’s Automotive model, integrating the company’s systems and processes while maintaining continuity for existing customers.
Consistency across locations remains a key focus as the company grows. “I want somebody to go to a Maclane’s Automotive and, no matter where it is, have the same experience-the same level of care and trust,” says Reeser.
As a family-owned business, Maclane’s Automotive places a strong emphasis on both its customers and its team. The company prioritizes customer service just as highly as quality workmanship, with a focus on creating a consistent, high-level experience across every location.
Over the past year, Maclane’s Automotive has grown from approximately 12 employees to 23, reflecting both its physical expansion and its investment in building a strong, people-focused team.
“The past year has been a whirlwind,” says Nicole. “We closed on the Malvern location in December, got married a week later, and immediately jumped into renovations. It’s been a lot-but incredibly rewarding to see everything come together.”
As Maclane’s Automotive celebrates its 10-year anniversary, the opening of its third location represents both a milestone and a continuation of its growth trajectory. From a single three-bay shop to three locations across Chester County, the company’s path has been defined by a willingness to take opportunities, invest in its people, and continually raise the standard for customer experience in the automotive industry.
